The first legal recommendation to be so vetoed would have mandated that prosecutors who use jailhouse informers to augment their testimony with other evidence.

One instance of this was that the investigators administering the lineups be unaware of the real identity of the suspect, to prevent them from giving an eyewitness any type of clues.
The article goes on to argue that DNA testing has exposed the flaws in our legal system, yet those flaws do not exist only in cases where DNA was substantial. They also exist in many legal cases where it is not present.

The Retail giant PetSmart is still recovering from the infamous pet food recall, yet higher fuel prices and the slowing real estate market are not entirely keeping consumers away,
 the firms’s CEO said stated on September 6. The CEO stated that
the Petsmart Corporation is again moving 265 of the more than three hundred products which were recalled, and expects to have all of them back by the second quarter of 2008.
The pet food recalls had cost the firm literally tens of millions of dollars in revenue.
The firm specializes in pet supplies while offering services like pet hotels, training and also animal grooming.
The recall was caused by bad ingredients from China which either killed or made ill many animals, started in March and included over one hundred different brands of dog and cat food
plus some other products such as pet treats.

Mexican freight trucks can start transporting goods on highways across the country as early as tomorrow,
 when the Dept. of Transportation is set to issue operating permits to various Mexican trucking companies.
The Texas newspaper ‘The Waco Tribune-Herald’ has reported that the Teamsters Union is very upset about this and will
be protesting. Specifically, they claim that giving Mexican rigs free right of passage on roads will jeopardize trucking jobs held by American citizens.
Meanwhile, other groups have questioned the safety of Mexican rigs. Up to this point, however, court decisions have rejected all legal protests and appear intent on allowing
Mexican trucks onto the countries highways. No, this probably does not mean that your Grandmother will no longer be patted down at the airport on her
airplane trip to her family reunion, or that you war hero brother won’t have to take off his shoes or be subject to a strip search the next time he
travels from California to Utah on business, lol. After all, we can’t risk something crossing state lines from a questionable source.
As Jay Leno said on the ‘Tonight Show’ last night, the first fleet of Mexican trucks entering the country will be laden
with toxic leads toys from China.
Buddy Smith, a trucker from Alabama, stated that “I’m already starting to hear more and more Spanish on the radio,” Smith said. “Mexican truckers are eating into our paychecks. They’re coming up here,
 but no American truckers are willing to go into Mexico. We are under enough pressure, from increases in fuel prices to decreases in freight price. We don’t need any extra stress.”
Meanwhile Dennis Brooks, whose crews perform lube jobs on large vehicles up and down the major highways was quoted as saying:
“If the buses coming out of Mexico are indicative of the trucks coming out of Mexico, I think we’ll see them breaking down up and down Interstate 35,” said Brooks of Mexican trucks. “There are some companies here in the U.S. that don’t spend much on maintenance either, but I don’t think the level of inspection and maintenance in Mexico is nearly to the level it is in the United States.”
Another trucker stated: ““The border states will suffer the most,” he added. “They’ll see an increase in everything from accidents to litter and pollution.”
Well, whether we wanted this or not, it has been rammed down our throats.
